Self Introduction
I was born in country side. So my deep emotion maybe cultivated through the beautiful, calm life of farm. I am not a quick learner however I didn’t stop learning throughout my life. I’ve always challenged new job experience. I’ve decided to move Seoul, volunteered to work a dispatched officer at KOTRA where I helped foreign invested companies solving labor dispute. March 30, 2006 I’ve decided to retire safety job as a public officer at the Ministry of Employment and Labor and open free lancer job as a labor law attorney.
During my own business I couldn’t say I’ve succeeded in making profits. That was my decision that I don’t want to invest much money in this secondary life or job rather than enjoy my own life. To introduce the situation of labor law attorney market, the competition between them is growing fierce. Because new attorneys are coming while labor disputes are becoming stabilizing by the rise of unemployment. And even though the prestigious law firms couldn’t guarantee perfect winning of the case. Around 60% is famous law firm’s winning rate. And if he loses the case he loses the customers. So he must find new customers. That’s why law firm are mergers and acquires.

As you might well know, many foreign invested companies in Korea are worrying about their industrial relations. In many cases, a CEO from a foreign-invested company in Korea may be blamed for choosing a “cheap attorney” when lose a case. So most of the time, CEOs in Korea choose the most famous law firm in order not to be blamed. However, there is no guarantee of winning a case through a prestigious law firm, since industrial relations are not only a juridical problem but somewhat more complex human relations problems.

After suffering snowballing cost of labor disputes, labor unions are beginning to recognize that the famous law firms focus on disputes rather than settlement. What I would like to point out is that I can provide a service, which lawyers may not be able to do. Since my strategy is a win-win game, I try to mediate between the parties. That is, since I am a certified labor affairs consultant, and I have been with the Ministry of Labor for over 20 years, I have the necessary supporting network to work on dispute settlement.

With my experience and back ground, I would like to support your invested companies in Korea in case of any labor disputes or issues in industrial relations. I would appreciate it very much if you could help me promoting my office and services to your member companies.

As long and as I know, foreign private funded companies have difficulties with their employees because some bad prejudice that they are focusing only investor’s profit. I have some friends who were in that job and their worry is in the future, so to say, how long he can remain in his job. I am in good faith in free market system then therefore the company couldn’t guarantee the employee’s future endlessly. However corporate social responsibility is becoming important. I have attention in these conflicting two aspects become harmonized. I think somewhat these two contradicting problems can be solved through employee participation of corporate social responsibility activity.

For example, employees can have another experience and career development opportunity in the course of participating company’s social activity such as home improvement event or helping farmers etc.
I hope my offer is appreciated.
